Fair Housing

The short answer

Gold Peach Realty, the publisher of the Dahlonega Realtors Guide, supports the Fair Housing Act and equal housing opportunity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin, and our guides describe places, rules, roads and offices, never the people who live in them.

Last checked October 19, 2026

The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin. An agent may not steer you toward or away from an area because of who lives there, and this guide does not describe neighborhoods by their residents.

Questions about who lives in a neighborhood, or about crime, are not answered here: we point you to the public sources instead of describing people.

If you believe you have experienced housing discrimination, you can contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Laws, forms and practices change. Every rule on this page links to the office or statute that sets it; confirm with that source, or a Georgia attorney, before you rely on it.
